Our team of appraisers is constantly researching the market conditions of precious metals, signed designer jewelry, loose diamonds, and gemstones, as well as vintage and contemporary timepieces.

  • Not a problem! Our team of appraisers is prepared to work on any item, no matter where it was purchased.
  • Appraisals are completed depending on the number of items to be appraised and their complexity. Our normal lead time for all appraisals is two weeks after the item has been received by JB Hudson.
  • JB Hudson is committed to the accurate description and safe handling of your jewelry and watches while in our care. Our appraiser carefully measures, examines, weighs, and researches all relevant information regarding your items in order to complete a full appraisal.

    JB Hudson uses state-of-the-art tools to ensure the accuracy of our appraisals, including microscope (60x), refractometer, polariscope, spectroscope, micrometer, dichroscope, GIA master stones, electronic scales, and more.
  • Your items to be appraised can be dropped off at 901 Nicollet | Minneapolis, MN 55402, or fill out the form below to receive shipping instructions. Curbside or couriered pick-up and delivery can be coordinated, please contact our service counter to set up.
  • JB Hudson believes in keeping you informed of the process of your appraisal. We can keep you up to date by email, text, phone, or mail.
  • Payment must be made upon drop-off of all appraisals.
  • JB Hudson inspects each item upon receipt. We document a complete description, noting any wear or distinguishing marks and/or serial numbers. We also accompany each appraisal item with a photograph for our records. We also gather essential contact information, including name, mailing address, and best mode of contact, so that we can update you regarding the status of your appraisal. At most, our internaltake-in process takes 5 minutes.
